Hello everyone! This is my new and improved blog page, that will hopefully get some amazing and thought-provoking articles soon (this may be a bit of a reach).
A little bit about me if you haven't already found me online:
My name is ren
I just turned 24
I go by whatever pronouns (i don't really care about them tbh)
My main interests are games, music, technology/programming, internet culture, hatsune miku, etc.
If you would like a more in-depth look of who I am as a person, then you can check out my website (which desperately needs an update, I will get around to it soon), at the moment it only works on PC so sorry mobile users.
(fun fact: I never set up the metadata of the site correctly so if you're seeing the bee script in that link then that's the text that the barcode font is displaying)
Originally I had made a blog page on my actual site, which quickly turned into a mess as I couldn't be bothered to update the HTML every single time I wanted to write something (yes I should've used a framework but I like making things difficult for myself). Later, I tried using the digital garden extension for Obsidian, but I never wrote anything on it and I can't remember how to update it anymore, so I'm just going to leave that one as an experiment that never saw the light of day (even though it was live for months). This site caught my attention when I saw a random post on Bluesky linking to someone else's pub (sorry to whoever that was I'm not going to look for it), and it piqued my interest because this just seems like the perfect website for my needs, and who doesn't love the AT protocol?
As for this blog, my main goal is to write about stuff that I really want to yap about. I'm not good at writing, I have literally never been good at writing, so please don't go into these expecting any sort of quality. I hope that I'll get better as time goes on, but writing essays in secondary school still gives me nightmares because I have no clue how that shit works so please bear with me. I have a lot of Thoughts though so I'm really hoping that through the power of me actually enjoying what I'm writing about I'll be able to make something that's at least a bit informative and/or entertaining.
That's all for now, for my first actual post I would like to make a list of my top games of 2025, that should be up here in the next few days. What I'll post after that? Not too sure at the moment, but I do get notions sometimes so that should help me in the long run.
